ColdFusion Developer

TEKsystems has partnered with a government integrator to identify a ColdFusion Developer. This position is located in Washington, DC and is in support of the United States Department of State. Description Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.  Analyzes, plans, designs, and develops web-based applications utilizing SQL Server with ColdFusion front ends. Designs software tools and subsystems; analyzes and develops procedures for their implementation.  Must have the ability to develop and utilize formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and tools in the development of software. Must have knowledge of best practices as it relates to coding and database design. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities and maintain flexibility. Must be able to work equally well in a team environment and individually. Must have solid communication skills and be able to communicate to both clients and team members regarding requirements, components, timelines and all aspects of development.  Technical Skills - Must be proficient in ColdFusion including CFCs  - Must be able to Analyze and study complex system requirements  - Must have worked with SQL Server and MS Access  - Must be well versed in other aspects of web development like HTML, CSS, XHTML, etc  - Must be able to call Stored Procedures from within the code Other Necessary Skills - Must work well with others, but also be able to work independently.  - Must have a good understanding of Object Oriented Design  - Provides estimates for software development tasks. - Provides status reports on a periodic basis - Must have a minimum of 4 years experience - Must be able to produce requirements documents, document work, and communicate  - Must be able to participate in team discussions and give input as an individual thinker Preferred Experience - Experience with frameworks  - Any experience with Object Oriented Programming  - Experience Dreamweaver or Eclipse - Build MS Access Applications - Experience with Java - Experience with Java Script - Experience with ASP - Experience With C# - Experience in front end design experience capitalizing on usability and navigation - Experience in section 508 - Ability to build Stored Procedures and Functions in SQL Server - Designing Databases Computer Science degree preferred, but not required.
