Sr. Java Developer

Support the analysis, design, and development of the new Current Population Survey Estimation subsystem. In addition, provide on-going support for the maintenance, enhancement, testing, and documentation of existing systems. Duties will include: 1) developing system in Java, writing stored procedures, and performing system testing in an Oracle database environment; 2) Evaluating database design proposal and making recommendations; 3) Writing shell programs and providing direction to junior staff; and 4) Preparing reports, responding to inquiries, and conducting analyses to address identified issues. Required Experience and working knowledge of JAVA, JSP, J2EE, TOAD, Rapid SQL, IIS and Eclipse 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD Object-oriented analysis and design with extensive knowledge and experience in UML using Rational Rose or other UML tools.
