Maintain, install, repair, rebuild, and troubleshoot process equipment such as pumps, valves, compressors, custom engineered equipment, process machines, tanks, piping, etc. Examples of other details for this job are: * Process air recycle compressor repairs/overhauls. * Custom engineering rotating equipment repairs/overhauls. * Pneumatic conveying pump repairs/overhauls. * Media grinding mill repairs/overhauls. * Installation of process slurry tank mechanical seals. * Assist operations with connection/disconnection of railcars and trailers. * Participate in the Front End Loading and commissioning processes for capital projects. * Respond to and complete repairs according to priority. * Perform first break activities with piping systems and equipment that may contain hazardous chemicals. * Record conditions of equipment and action taken for history analysis. * Communicate promptly with Operations, Maintenance Leadership, and Technical personnel when necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Uses all types of industrial maintenance shop equipment and mechanical tools. Must have basic computer skills to access plant systems such as Lotus Notes, Documentum, Microsoft Word, and to utilize the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System. Share knowledge and experience with others, and train other personnel as required. Provides assistance and work with Instrument & Electrical Technicians, Operations, Reliability Engineers, and Management as needed. Coordinate own activities and complete routine job planning/scheduling, front-end loading, documentation of work performed (includes equipment history database), parts ordering, set up packages of work orders, and maintain inventory of on-hand stock. Patrol and inspect plant areas for needed repairs, generate work notifications to have the needed repairs scheduled, review/revise Standard Job Procedures, complete administrative tasks and paperwork such as timecards, equipment characteristics, daily work schedules, overtime scheduling, etc. Must know and adhere to safety, environmental and housekeeping responsibilities and rules. Provide flexibility and support operating areas to meet plant emergency and/or shutdown needs. Includes performing and assuming emergency response responsibilities if assigned as part of the job position. Perform critical operating tasks that may be part of another area or job to support plant operating requirements. This flexibility enables personnel to work together as required to support plant needs between and within individual areas/crafts/etc. Basic computer skills to include SAP R3/LIMS. Applicants are required to have four years of experience and Journeyman Papers or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills are desired. Other requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
