Title: Senior Auditor - AVP TSS Technology Location: NY-New York Department Description The JP Morgan Chase Audit Department is accountable to the Audit and Examining Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and our global and local regulators. The global Audit Department has approximately 500 auditors. The T&SS WHEM Audit team is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environment across all of the JPMorgan Chase business and technology activities in the US and across the region. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage performed and managed by a team of technology and business audit specialists and coordinated on a global basis with colleagues in the US, Asia and Europe. Position Description This technology role provides the opportunity to participate in audits across the Treasury & Securities Services (T&SS) businesses. These businesses comprise Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) which encompasses global custody, fund accounting, securities clearance, asset servicing, and Treasury Services (TS) which encompasses core cash processing and clearing, trade finance, receivables processing. You will report functionally into the WSS Technology Audit manager. Responsibilities * Participate in all aspects of audit activities including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting, work paper documentation and follow up and verification of issue closure. * Ensure audits are performed to professional standards and departmental practices. * Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls, and make appropriate recommendations for improvement. This may be achieved through specific audit reviews or through ongoing involvement in major activities or projects. * Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends. * Develop and maintain business relationships to monitor changes in the control environment. * Stay up to date with evolving regulatory and market wide aspects impacting T&SS Technology. The position may require up to 25% travel * Education to degree standard is preferable, as is a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CISA, CPA). All relevant educational, business or accounting qualifications will be taken into account. * Technical knowledge of one of the following: Mainframe technologies (CICS, Cobol, Adabas Natural, JCL, CA7), Distributed Computing (UNIX, Java, C , .Net, Wintel), Messaging Technology (MQ, TCP/IP, Networking), Database Management (Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer, DB2). * Knowledge and, preferably, 3 or more years experience of WSS applications supporting global custody (Titan, COSMIC), fund services (WINS, HiPort, Geneva), securities clearance (BDAS, CCMS) and asset servicing (CAI, MCA, CSW, AIRS, SLX, DML, SLAM). Ideally this experience will be from an audit or risk perspective. * Familiarity of general Information Technology controls necessary to conduct audits of technology platforms. * Enthusiastic self starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and effectively partner with senior management. The individual will also need to be able to work remotely in geographically dispersed teams.
