SAP PM MM Analyst

Our client, a stable $12 billion global manufacturing company, seeks an SAP PM/MM Analyst for a career opportunity with very low travel.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP PM and MM Analyst position is part of team responsible for the development, implementation and support of our client's Global Application and Infrastructure Systems and Services. 

The focus is on delivering systems analysis, development, implementation and maintenance activities, balancing expertise in both SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management environments.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

SAP Plant Maintenance:

* Must be familiar with Plant Maintenance Master Data objects such as Functional Locations, Equipment Masters, Bill of Materials and Material Master records.

* Experience with Material / Split valuation concepts is highly desired.

* Must be experienced with maintenance processes such as Maintenance Notifications, Maintenance Orders (creation, planning, cost display, completion and confirmation processes), and Preventive Maintenance

SAP Materials Management:

* Responsible for support and configuration of all areas within Materials Management including Purchase to Pay, Master Data (Material and Vendors, MRP Planning and Logistics Invoice Verification.

* Experience with Requisition to Purchase Order processes including requisition release strategies, document output and reporting concepts is required.

* Strong understanding of material inventory valuation is a must.

* Familiarity with procurement configuration as it relates to Global Supply Chain processes is highly desired.

* Experience with APO manufacturing planning processes would be a strong plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide IT driven concepts to improve existing business and technical processes for support of business performance goals.

* Participate in requirements definition, analysis/design.

* Must have the ability to manage and participate in a project oriented culture applying internal project management methodologies.

* Must be able to achieve a reasonable workload balance between project and production support responsibilities.

* Technical specialist for development of code/interfaces, carrying out system/integration/acceptance testing, Development of End-user documentation, and implementation/migration of SAP applications.

* Coordinate business users with SAP support activities carried out in Europe and with BASIS team for events including scheduled maintenance downtime, system upgrades, software installations, job scheduling. Coordinate resolution of SAP performance and setup issues related to network ids, security, desktop hardware/software, mailboxes, etc.

* Work closely with European support team to solve system issues.

* Must have the ability to research / understand PM/MM integration points with FI/CO.

* Experience and understanding of RFC / EDI / ALE / IDOC communication configuration and strategies is preferred.

* Provide End User Training when needed.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: 

* Bachelor’s degree in a related field

* 3+ years solid, hands-on SAP module experience – ABAP is a strong plus

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure

TRAVEL:

* Ability to travel to domestic and international locations.  (10%)
