Performs a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, in accordance with the Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan(ITP) for a population of general adult acutely ill psychiatric patients. Patients range from 16 years of age to geriatric. The RN administers medical treatment as prescribed by the attending physician and is responsible for teaching and providing psychosocial support to patients and their significant others. Qualifications: Current RN license in the State of Maryland. Must have a general knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory, which is usually obtained through formal nursing education and clinical placements. Certificate of Basic Cardiac Life Support and training in Aggressive Patient Management. Experience in the field of behavioral health strongly suggested.
