This is a full-time, tenure-track position in Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation Management beginning Fall Semester 2010. Rank is commensurate with experience and education. As Program Director, this position provides leadership and direction for the new undergraduate program which prepares students for management and entrepreneurial positions within the leisure and cultural industries. Responsibilities: * Develop, implement and direct a new program in hospitality, tourism and recreation management. * Teach undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses each semester. Primary teaching responsibilities include but are not limited to:courses in Hospitality Management and Tourism Recreation Management. * Advise/mentor students and supervise their research. * Participate in university and school service. * Pursue and accomplish scholarly research. * Integrate the core values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice and service in all aspects of interaction. Qualifications: * A doctorate or ABD iclose to completion. * Prior college/university teaching experience required. * Appropriate industry experience required. * Commitment to excellence in teaching and an active professional and/or scholarly research agenda are required. * Ability and willingness to teach online and hybrid accelerated courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels a requirement. The School of Business is accredited by the Associate of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
