Black & Decker is about to change the residential locks business forever, and you can be the leader, spokesperson, salesperson, and visionary behind this historic product launch.

A groundbreaking new product. . . At CEDIA Expo 2009, Kwikset® announced the availability of its highly-anticipated remote access control solution - SmartCode® with Home Connect Technology. These one-of-a-kind keyless entry electronic locks, developed for interoperability with home automation and security systems, can communicate wirelessly with other devices in the home and deliver a variety of access control options for the utmost in residential security.

Our Requirements

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; an MBA is preferred

* Strong sales experience (10 years) with at least five years of direct experience in the Security and/or CEDIA channels

* Experience developing a distribution strategy for a new product launch.

* Ability to travel nationally at least 50% of the time

More About Home Connect Unlike any other product available today, Kwiksets SmartCode with Home Connect Technology has a motorized deadbolt, enabling homeowners to lock or unlock doors via remote control, cell phone, security system touch panel and/or a secure Internet connection. This is an advancement over other competitive offerings that still require a person to manually turn the bolt to lock or unlock the door.

"Other products can tell you whether or not your door is locked or not, but unless a friend or neighbor is standing on your welcome mat, the deadbolt cannot be locked or unlocked," said Dave Albert, BDHHIs Vice President of Business Development. "This extraordinary innovation differentiates SmartCode with Home Connect Technology in the marketplace and gives consumers the convenience they are looking for. Now if you forget to lock your door and youre already twenty miles away at work, you dont have to call a neighbor or friend to come lock your door -- you can do it yourself just with the push of a button, or the click of a mouse."

Installation is simple as the Kwikset SmartCode with Home Connect Technology simply replaces any existing deadbolt and operates on four AA batteries, thus eliminating the need for hardwiring. The lock even has the ability to accept automatic software updates, and all wireless communication between devices remains secure by utilizing 128 bit encryption. Establishing the door lock as a user interface dramatically increases the security and convenience provided to the homeowner, while making the customization possibilities virtually limitless.

Your Role Your initial focus will be on our Kwikset and Baldwin brands; however you will eventually support all four of BDHHIs security hardware brands. We are already working with market leaders in the home automation and security industries such as AMX, Control4, Crestron, DSC, GE Security, HAI, and iControl Networks among others, to ensure the seamless integration of upcoming residential access control solutions with the widest possible range of operating platforms.

Your immediate priorities will be to cement our presence in two key channels:

* Alarm install/security industry

* CEDIA

Within these channels, you will forge key partnerships with manufacturers, distributors and dealers/installers to bring Home Connect to residences across the country. In general, youll find these companies extremely receptive and very excited about Home Connect, but as you would expect, they are partnerships with many moving parts, and youll need to be part visionary, part salesperson and part project manager to bring all of the pieces and people together for success. Your end game is driving sales growth, and your success will be measured on the achievement of sales and profitability targets within your assigned channels.

Specifically, your responsibilities will be to:

* Cultivate and leverage relationships with CEDIA and Security Industry partner manufacturers to leverage communication, training and channel marketing opportunities.

* Develop and execute CEDIA and Security distribution strategy that maximizes sales velocity and minimizes conflict with traditional channel customers.

* Serve as the liaison to the core field sales organization, taking a lead role in communication, training, and sales support of Residential Access Solution products in traditional sales channels.

* Drive pull-through sales opportunities by developing relationships with larger Security/CEDIA dealer installers.

* Evaluate opportunities to invest in an expanded sales force

* Facilitate the communication of key input from channel customers into business product strategies

* Represent B&D Security Hardware in tradeshows and other industry association events

* Co-develop product, pricing, branding, merchandising and promotion strategies

* Develop and manage channel and T&E budget to plan

* Facilitates and develops presentation materials
