GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is responsible for contributing to the development of high-quality educational materials by editing for grammar, clarity, and consistency. Work with the Editorial Manager and content developers to resolve questions. Coordinate with stakeholders in multiple locations and departments throughout the organization to meet course deadlines and organizational standards for quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review and edit materials for correct grammar, punctuation, and clarity as well as consistency in style, voice, and form. Cross-check references and verify all course components are complete. * Read, listen, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Coordinate with content developers to resolve questions or inconsistencies. * Demonstrate proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Professional. * Work in a results-oriented, deadline-driven, team-based environment. Adhere to project schedules and established guidelines. Experience: * Three-to-five years of editing experience, preferably in the field of education. * Superior knowledge of grammar, usage, and language. Knowledge of APA and Chicago style preferred. * Ability to edit both on hardcopy and in an electronic environment. * Familiar with proofreaders marks. * Superb communication and problem-solving skills. * Must be thorough and detail-oriented. Must have excellent time-management and organizational skills. * Able to handle several editing projects simultaneously.
