We are currently looking for a qualified US GAAP Tax,Senior Principal to join our Tax team at our CA headquarters in Islandia, NY. This newly-created tax position will report directly to our VP of Tax Controllership (based at CA headquarters in the US) and join an experienced team of US GAAP Tax professionals to provide well-informed tax technical expertise in respect of CAs consolidated financial statements, working closely with business and finance contacts to ensure delivery of a timely, reliable and compliant annual and quarterly tax provisions as well as related balance sheet and income statement analytics and sensitivity testing. Emphasizing the US GAAP Tax aspects of our non-US business units, the Senior Tax Principal will partner with members of our global tax team to: ? assess the US income tax implications of cross-border activities by our CFCs, including cash and tax credit repatriation strategies, ? develop, implement and then manage prospectively certain local country tax strategies, ? drive efficiencies in and improvements to our US GAAP Tax processes, and ? coordinate timely CA Tax participation in CA Finance forecasting cycles. The Senior Tax Principal must be a strategic thinker and effective communicator, who will quickly become a trusted CA business advisor. A successful candidate will be energetic, forward-thinking and creative, with high ethical standards, sound judgment and an appropriate professional image. The Senior Tax Principal must be a well-organized, detail-oriented and self-directed individual with strong interpersonal skills who can work both independently and within a team structure to drive multiple concurrent projects to completion. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to implement strategic vision. Business-related travel is anticipated to arise infrequently and only on an as-needed basis. Qualifications: ? 10+ years of experience and a record of achievement in the tax industry (in-house and/or global or regional accounting firm), with foundational skills in US federal corporate income tax compliance and the tax aspects of US GAAP reporting and related processes (i.e., preparation and/or review of financial statement income tax provisions and related tax reporting), including a demonstrated understanding of FAS 109 and FIN 48 tax accounting principles for US GAAP reporting. ? Knowledge of technical aspects of US federal corporate income taxation, with particular emphasis on corporate M&A tax requirements, post-transactional integration from the tax perspective, key cross-border US tax concepts (such as subpart-F, deemed dividends, foreign tax credits & foreign currency), cash repatriation strategies, and royalties, leveraging and other intercompany arrangements. ?
