JOB SUMMARY: Identifies and secures opportunities and completes repairs to meet fee for service revenue goals in the assigned geography.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: a?? Other duties may be assigned:

* Plan for and monitor for personal development.

* Ability to identify and eliminate waste as defined by transportation, overproduction, motion, wait time, defective product inventory process.

* Monitor and ensure Customer Satisfaction

* Effectively interact in a professional and courteous manner with various levels of internal/external customers.

* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

* Ability to identify urgency and set priorities to be able to respond to meet customer needs and established company objectives.

* Ability to provide consistent follow-up with internal/external customers regarding open work order status.

* Create and ensure a Safe work environment

* Safety First requirements up-to-date.

* No avoidable vehicle accidents, no avoidable injuries.

* Demonstrates a pro-active approach towards safety and health in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations in the areas of HAZCOM, ECP/ICP, JACHO, HIPAA, safe driving, substance abuse/drug free workplace, Standards of Ethical Business Conduct, back safety and patient transfer protocols and maintenance of a clean/safe work environment.

* Participation in and completion of required safety meetings and medical testing.

* Identify potential safety issues on products and repair procedures and provide feedback to management team.

* Responsible for ensuring others are completing projects within safety requirements. This includes coordinating completion of safety training for temporary employees and/or job specific requirements.

* Exhibit good Time Management skills to include

* Independent management of work schedule (daily/weekly/monthly).

* Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage.

* Demonstrates ability to effectively problem solve in setting work priorities.

* Coordinate parts ordering/shipping with customer. Schedule and manage time to effectively complete repairs according to company goals and objectives.

* Coordinate personal work travel schedule.

* Provide consistent follow-up communication to internal/external customers regarding repair status, customer issues and ongoing repairs.

* Develop and implement plans to allocate time to looking for new fee for service revenue opportunities (min of 33%) and time to completing repair jobs (min of 50%) to meet established revenue goals.

* Demonstrates ability to schedule/coordinate and complete SMALL to MEDIUM size fee for service projects under direction of the Customer Service Manager. This includes coordinating parts and resources to meet customer expectations, identify and communicate barriers to all associates (parts availability, product availability, resource issues, etc.), coordinate with customer to ensure availability of product, work space, and cooperation from staff, effectively communicate with all internal/external customers to ensure coordinated effort to complete projects, coordinate/schedule other resources to assist with project and provide consistent follow-up on project status to customers and management.

* Adherence to all company Policies and Procedures

* Effectively implement service policies and procedures to support company objectives, including service documentation, SOP/WI training, expense and fleet reporting, Priority One complaint documentation, maintenance and calibration of test equipment and filing and record keeping systems in accordance with standard work.

* Ensure internal/external resources are completing project work and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

* Proficient Troubleshooting and Repair skills to include

* Knowledge of electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to troubleshoot and repair assigned products.

* Ability to utilize manufacturer service manuals and documentation to provide initial troubleshooting and repair via phone and on-site.

* Basic Computer literacy.

* Knowledge of use of test equipment including electrical safety analyzer, digital manometer, voltmeter.

* Subject Matter Expert (SME) (i.e. ability to substitute for technical support, source of guidance and support for the Technical Associate/Customers/Sales) on assigned capital products.

* Ability to use advance test equipment for products as assigned.

* Ability to present engineering inservice on assigned products.

* Ability to assess assigned products and prepare written estimates for repairs.

* Exhibit good Communication Skills to include

* Ability to provide verbal communication to internal/external customers regarding actions taken and repairs performed, parts used during repair and completion of all required forms.

* Ability to communicate verbally in a professional and courteous manner with various levels of internal/external customers including Area Vice Presidents/Sales Directors, General Managers, Sales Specialists, Directors of Nursing/Engineering/Maintenance and Nurse Managers/Supervisors.

* Presentation skills to include troubleshooting, repair analysis and scheduling via phone and on-site, and user/operational inservice on assigned capital products.

* Ability to provide written communication to internal customers (memos, reports, etc.).

* Ability to facilitate customer meetings for assigned products/projects.

* Provide effective communication to internal/external customers and resources to complete assigned projects/repairs.

* Assist Territory in meeting or exceeding company Performance Measures to include

* Ability to conduct product assessment.

* Meet or exceed key territory operational performance targets.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Age 21 or older.

* Valid drivera?s license and driving record that meets company standards.

* Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time

* Must be an open position.

* Must be recommended by current supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* High school diploma or GED required, two year Associate Technical Degree preferred.

* Minimum of three years experience in capital repairs on Hill-Rom products

* Ability to use computer to perform assignments including proficient use of required software programs
