A/R Specialist

As an A/R Specialist, the primary responsibilities are to research and resolve accounts appearing on follow up reports as assigned by management and make appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.  Additional responsibilities include:

-Identify any problems/trends and communicate them to the management for resolution. -Communicate procedures for processing changes that may increase revenue from insurance carriers. -Correct all error reports on electronic error reports using all available information. -Enter all production numbers into PTS for tracking productivity. -Meet productions standards for number of calls resolved. -Work with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercials for status of claims that have not been worked. -Recognize a problem/trend and get a resolution. Minimum Requirements -System and insurance knowledge -Proficient with computers and data entry -Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail -Strong oral and written communication skills -Must maintain patient/client confidentiality -Knowledge of billing procedures preferred -Knowledge of HMOs, BC/BS, Medicare and Medicaid desired -Knowledge of coding and specialties being worked desired Company Statement McKesson offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
