The HIV Program is currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker/LCSW to provide mental health assessment and counseling to HIV positive patients. Although the main site of the HIV Program is located at the Wilmington Hospital Annex, this position may be assigned to our Smyrna and Georgetown satellites. The LCSW will be responsible for working in collaboration with the clinical treatment teams to identify those in need of mental health treatment and coordinate such treatment. The LCSW will assist in developing patient centered care plans, utilizing available community resources and will monitor effectiveness. The LCSW will provide individual and group counseling sessions. The LCSW will work in collaboration with other members of the HIV Program mental heatlh project, including case presentation and self-development educational activities. In turn, the LCSW will provide education and support to the HIV treatment team on mental health issues and current treatment modalities. The LCSW will be responsible for providing encounter forms/billing for all encounters and will maintain knowledge of insurer requirements. Applicants must have a Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work and be a certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Experience in provision of mental health services required. Demonstrated interest in HIV infection is desired. Experience with patients who have substance abuse issues desired.
