We are currently looking for a qualified Channel Account Managers to join our Channel Partner team at our New York office. Job Overview ============ This position is responsible for managing CA channel partners and understanding the sales structure to build peer relationships to support reseller sales activities. The Channel Account Manager must research, understand and articulate the features and benefits represented by all products within this positions scope and work to deliver the performance metrics defined by management to ensure a consistent level of effort and dedication to the task. Key Responsibilities ==================== * Meet or exceed all revenue targets assigned to set of channel partners. * Submit a business plan in Q1 of each fiscal year, which encapsulates the key partners relationship with CA and details annual revenue targets. Business objectives for the geographic account coverage with detailed activity plans and revenue targets should also be submitted. * Submit monthly revenue forecasts with weekly updates on any significant changes to the committed numbers. * Understands and communicates the business value and ROI of installed and proposed products and solutions to enable the partner to articulate the same to their customers. * Ability to articulate CAs corporate strategy. * Responsible for scheduling regular training sessions for reseller sales, technical and marketing personnel. Training sessions will be followed by feedback sessions to build skills register at each reseller. * Learn and file all corporate structure charts for key channel partners. Keep abreast of all changes in each key partners structure and to be aware of the implications to CA business that each change may bring. * Develop robust and lasting business relationships at all levels in each key partner account. * Drive reseller breadth in the geography through execution of campaigns and partners programs. * Follow up on all leads supplied and ensure the SFS system is updated on the ROI of the leads. * Utilize all channel management and reporting tools. Specifically, the OLP system and the Partner Management System (PMS), as well as LMS. * Aware of all product and technological strategies employed by competitive and complimentary organizations in CA market space. * Promote and ensure use of all benefits and services available through CA Channel partner programs. * Be central point of contact for your managed resellers and liaise, on their behalf, with all other departments within CA. Job-Specific Authority and Scope ================================ * Generally works without consulting their manager. * Independent decisions are made daily. * Typically has no direct reports. * Typically has no total staff. * Typically has a geographic focus of Area (multi-country or multi-state). * Typically does not manage a budget. Business Travel and Physical Demands ==================================== Business travel of approximately 25 percent yearly is expected for this position. Physical demands: * Office environment. No special physical demands required. Preferred Education =================== Bachelors Degree or global equivalent in a related field. Work Experience =============== Typically 5 years Channel Sales experience with proven results in growing Partner Business, and/or previous inside or outside sales experience, with an understanding of technology and technological innovations. Skills ====== Strong Microsoft Office and reporting skills. Coaching, strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills. Ability to maintain focus in a changing and diverse environment.
