This position performs technical work related to designing, maintaining, and producing geographic data and graphics through an automated geographic information system (GIS). The position is also responsible for special assigned projects related to database management including CMMS, assisting in preparing graphics and maps for new project bids, and assisting other project staff by providing data and exhibits from the GIS and other databases. Key Accountabilities Create, maintain, and produce GIS map products for internal and external use using ESRI software platform. Interface with Project staff and Client technical staff to exchange information of utility system maps, and provide mapping changes as requested. Interface with consultants for exchange of information related to Consultants scope of work (hydraulic modeling, base mapping ,etc) Prepares mapping exhibits for use by project staff in preparing new project pricing or other project related work. Assist project staff with creation, maintenance, and use of CMMS programs. Provide training to project staff as requested and assist in advancing projects efficiency in use of electronic mapping tools for daily field work. Prepares technical drawing and mapping work products such as construction details and concept level project drawings Requisitions, inventories, and maintains all licenses, supplies, and hardware needed for project Performs other related functions assigned or as they become apparent. Skills Ability to work independently and mange time across multiple assignments Effective written and oral communication Basic use of AutoCADD software. Advanced use of ESRI ArcMap software Knowledge Use and operation of ESRI GIS software. Basic methods, techniques and procedures utilized in the planning, design, maintenance, and production of GIS data and graphics Use of MS Office Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint Use of Autodesk AutoCADD software Must possess an associates degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of Two years experience designing, maintaining, and producing geographic data and graphics utilizing an ESRI GIS software.
