Requirements NBTY is a leading vertical integrated U.S. manufacturer and distributor of a broad line of high-quality, value-priced nutritional supplements in the United States and throughout the world. Under the direction of the Manager, the .Net Developer will be responsible for supporting and developing a wide range of web based applications and web services. Candidates should have a through understanding of OOP design patterns and data modeling. Responsibilities: Develop the system design specifications from the business requirements document Participate in the creation of a project/task plan for new development & enhancements Prepare & Document Technical & Program Design Specifications (including flow charts) Complete the programming and development effort Complete & Document Unit & System Testing and assist IT Testing teams Manage & Plan program implementations into production environment Meet Project Deadlines Communicate with End Users on Business Requirements and Problem Resolution Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), if necessary Meet all required Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) documentation and change management requirements Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 3 - 6 years of ASP.Net/C# development experience 2+ years experience with MS-SQL 2005/2008. Working experience with ASP.Net Web Development, MVC, C#, .Net 3.5 framework Working experience with web technologies including tools like JavaScript, Ajax, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS ? following industry standards Experience consuming Web Services (REST & SOAP RPC) Understands relational database concepts (ADO.Net) Familiar with LINQ, expression trees, constraints, and generics Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Agile Development Thorough understanding of HTTP Protocol Ability to interpret and create design patterns in UML Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills NBTY, Inc offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes tuition reimbursement, health and dental plans, voluntary short-term and long-term disability, employee stock ownership, daycare subsidy and 401(k).
