Senior Manager/Manager, Financial Reporting

GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Director - Financial Reporting, the Manager will be responsible for managing financial reporting projects in support of the Corporations external financial reporting requirements. The individual will be responsible for review/compilation of financial statement elements (e.g., primary financial statements, GAAP disclosure footnotes, MD&A, supplemental schedules, etc.), coordinating support documentation for financial and SOX audits, research of technical accounting issues (including writing policies and group presentations to communicate GAAP requirements), and completion of various projects in support of those objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: External Reporting: * Manage preparation of assigned elements of Quarterly and Annual Report to Shareholders (and Securities Exchange Commission), including coordination of footnote disclosures with independent accountants * Develop procedures with Director to gather input from the segments for compilation supporting documentation * Assist local subsidiaries external filing requirements and provide guidance as necessary * Participate in the development of appropriate responses in regards to investor/SEC inquiries or reviews * Assist in management of financial reporting processes, including development of calendars, financial presentation, documentation * Assist in review of transactional financial filings for acquisitions, and debt and equity registrations * Manage various projects in support of financial reporting objectives during off-quarter periods Technical Accounting * Responsible for preparation and/or review of technically complex transaction entries (e.g., SFAS 123R, 157, 133, 142, etc.), as assigned * Develop communications (written and live presentation) to inform executives and subsidiaries of new GAAP or other technical accounting issues be reported within our financial statements * Assist in development of technical training for global accounting organization * Assist in managing the research and response process related to ad hoc technical accounting request * Preparation of written technical analysis (white papers) with respect to completed or contemplated transactions and/or development and maintenance of Accounting Policies & Procedures Manuals. * Responsible for developing/maintaining adequate Sarbanes Oxley compliance process as it relates to required financial controls/disclosures * Work with Director and Chief Accounting Officer to continuously assess and improve the departmental organizational structure to improve the effectiveness of the consolidation and reporting function * Act as liaison with external auditors on technical accounting issues related to the preparation of the external documents on a disclosure basis * Accounting projects as assigned

Experience: EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

* BS degree in Accounting or related fields required; CPA is highly preferred

* Manager - five to seven years of accounting and financial reporting experience. Big 4 experience preferred.

* Senior Manager - seven to ten years of accounting and financial reporting experience. Big 4 experience preferred.

* Strong knowledge of US GAAP required; SEC and IFRS knowledge preferred.

* Previous experience with Sarbanes Oxley and internal and external audit process reviews highly desirable.

* Solid understanding of business dynamics and operations.

* Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with ability to develop and execute financial presentations to an executive level audience.

* Must be flexible, able to contribute to a team environment, and able to handle multiple priorities.

* PeopleSoft and Hyperion experience a plus.

* Spanish/multi-lingual proficiency is highly desirable.

* Must be able to travel, including internationally, as needed.
