Job Description: • Perform complex first article inspections, layouts and inspection gauge calibrations. The primary role of this position will be to: Inspect the bearing surface of a newly manufactured orthopaedic device, find defects, correct minor defects, communicate to buffing operators what they need to fix. Requirements: Ability to use all standard inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparator Mechanical testing knowledge an advantage Inspection experience Must be able to read blueprints/engineering drawings Good written and communication skills Computer skills – Word, Excel etc Ability to work with people in a team based environment essential Skill requirements include the following: First article inspection & gauge calibration Comparator Micrometer Caliper Dial gauges Height gauges General gauge use Vision systems Good math skills MS Excel Must have good verbal and math skills.
