Position Title: Executive Assistant to SVP Requisition Number: 7972 Employment Status: FT N-Exempt Division: Corporate Operations Division - 10007253 Location: Silver Spring State: Maryland Job Description: Position Summary: Discovery Communications seeks an experienced, professional, and highly motivated individual to provide executive legal administrative support to a senior vice president of business and legal affairs in a high volume, fast-paced in-house environment Responsibilities: 1. Develops procedures to ensure functional office operations. 2. Schedules SVPs appointments, maintains and updates SVPs daily calendar. May assist other executives on the team. 3. Types and composes memorandums, policies, minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, contracts, proposals, and other documents and correspondence as appropriate. 4. Provides legal administrative support handling transactional, production, litigation and other entertainment business and legal matters. Generates contracts from standard forms and tracks them at various stages of production/execution. Administer contracts and oversee execution process. 5. Proofreads, edits and redlines documents and effectively navigates and operates within various computer databases relating to areas of responsibility 6. Answers telephone, screens calls, routes callers, takes messages, responds to internal and external inquiries, and provides routine information within scope of authority. Handles inquiries from internal and external contacts, and drafts related correspondence 7. Schedules, organizes and coordinates meetings and facilities, including travel, transportation and hotel arrangements, coordination, preparation and distribution of materials, agendas, notes, handouts, etc, arranging for refreshments, preparing nametags and documenting minutes. Arranges presentations and conferences; prepares charts and timetables. 8. Responsible for the financial processes of check requests, invoices and purchase orders. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
