Title: Marketing Representative, BR Job Category: Location: NYC Boroughs, NY Job Type: Regular Req Number: heal-00001861 Description: Position Summary: Healthfirst is seeking highly motivated and energetic Medicare Marketing Reps who are fully bilingual in English/Spanish. The Medicare Marketing Representative is responsible for providing marketing coverage and developing best possible market penetration for the Medicare product in his/her assigned territory (Bronx). To be considered for hire, all candidates must meet the language requirements. In order to continue employment with Healthfirst, unlicensed new hires must pass the NYS Health License examination and acquire their health license within the first five weeks of employment; failure to do so will result in termination of employment. Healthfirst will provide training. Maintains relationships and service our existing customers and secures new customers by consultative selling/marketing and performing all required tasks assigned by the Sales Manager. Medicare Sales Representative will be responsible for educating and enrolling potential beneficiaries by explaining program benefits in a manner that is compliant with CMS and company policies and regulations.The representative will develop a presence in the community and serve as a point of contact for our current members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Performance Requirement - Develop and nurture relationship with prospective members, community leaders, owner hospitals, community partners, and current business partners. Must ensure individual enrollment quotas are met based on tenure. Required to attend all Sales Meetings and gatherings. Must submit three reports daily Plan of Action, Mid-day Report, and End-of-day Report. Have to maintain a professional image both on clothing attire and marketing locations. This position is encouraged to work on weekends and at times in different boroughs. Travel frequently to various Healthfirst sites and locations within the NY 5 boroughs, Westchester and Long Island. 2. Territory Management - Maintain healthfirst visibility in the community by monitoring multiple marketing locations and events. Required to carry marketing table, materials, give-away items, and boxes. Must be proactive in searching for additional marketing locations within our regulatory guidelines. 3. Compliance - Required to stay abreast on all recent changes in regulations, recent training sessions, changes in workflow, and changes to our benefits. Must pass post and on-going quizzes, refresher training, and administrative audits. Must come in prepared when summoned by the Special Investigation Unit. Bring your electronic BB or soft copy if applicable. 4. Technology - Must be able to adapt to various software used by heathfirst, maintain an electronic book of business, research participating providers, and communicate with internal departments via Microsoft Outlook. Is responsible for safeguarding all equipment issued by healthfirst. 5. Enrollment process - Ensure prospective members are enrolled properly and all internal and external processes are followed. Must ensure all documentations relative to the applications are attached i.e. Application, Application Confirmation Form, Scope of Appointment, and Application Submission Form. Must enter all information into our electronic book of business. Verification call must be completed at the point of sale of no later than five business afterwards. Supporting documentation needs to be provided to all new enrollees (copy of Application, copy of Application Confirmation Form, LIS Letter, Before you go document, and a Summary of Benefit). 6. Customer Service - Must ensure any/all concerns are addressed and resolved within a reasonable time frame and/or directed to the appropriate party. Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Recommendation on process improvement. Must keep management abreast on any recommendation that can make a workflow or process more efficient. 2. Must keep an open line of communication with our Site Development business unit. This would consists of letting them know of any organization we feel would be a suitable business partner for HF or any upcoming events you would like to participate in. 3. Must keep the management abreast on any activities our competitors are engaging in. This can range from a marketing approach, branding campaign, new designs, or benefit changes. 4. Must work in a concerted manner with Network Development and communicate to them any providers that we should attempt to recruit. Ensure Network Development Representatives are abreast on any outstanding issues relative to any of our participating providers. Requirements: Knowledge and Skills Required: Supervision Necessary: Work performed under close supervision with regular checking and review by supervisor; or duties are so routine that they require only simple, standard instructions without regular, on-site supervision. Supervisor is close by to answer questions or handle problems. Independent Action: Work progress is monitored by supervisor/manager. Follows precedents and procedures. External contacts/"Customer" Service: Contact with external customers/contacts to furnish or obtain factual information. Internal Contacts: Contact only within own department/group. Decision Making: Little or no impact of decisions beyond own job or specific functional area. Problem Solving: Select the best solution(s) from several alternatives that already exist. Independent Judgment: Duties are somewhat routine, requiring occasional independent judgment. Complexity of Tasks: Must follow clearly defined policies and procedures that are readily available. Budget Responsibility: Has no budget responsibility Education Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Intermediate Microsoft Outlook. Written and Oral Communication: Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional area and interact with others across Healthfirst and/or externally. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand. The employee is frequently required reach; bend; travel and key. The employee is occasionally required to crouch; sit; and balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee frequently works in an indoor environment; an outdoor environment; the cold weather and the hot weather. Conditions of Employment: Employee must pass pre-employment screening which includes a background check and drug testing. Employee must present documentation to verify minimum of high school educational requirement.
