Position Summary: As a member of the Discovery Education marketing team, the Marketing Manager, Renewals and Partnership is responsible for leading marketing strategy development and implementation for two key areas within the Division. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing plans supporting revenue growth. Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy 1. In support of Divisions aggressive revenue objectives, lead the strategic development of integrated marketing plans to support the digital subscription renewal business as well as support external partners in their efforts to resell Discovery Education services 2. Conceptualize and produce electronic and printed sales tools that meet the needs of divisional and regional constituents 3. Develop targeted email campaigns to drive awareness, brand loyalty, and identify potential opportunities for cross-selling/up-selling new products and services. Manage email newsletters that drive usage of core Discovery Education services 4. Manage conference/event marketing efforts in coordination internal stakeholders: develop themes in conjunction with sales goals, produce collateral, lead post-conference follow-up efforts General 1. Build, maintain and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Divisions overall business goals, revenue projections, and strategic vision. 2. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of competitive landscape, new and innovative marketing (including social networking/web 2.0) and production strategies and lead development of innovative campaign 3. Build, maintain and demonstrate an understanding of industry trends, current events, and related information that may impact the business by reading professional publications, researching all available prospect/product resources and participating in professional organizations. 4. Demonstrate strong analytical skills regarding customer data management, segmenting markets, opportunity analysis 5. Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. 6. Must possess stellar interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. 7. Proactively share information across the division to coordinate and support all areas of the business. 8. Travel approximately 10% of time Requirements: * Selected candidate must have recent experience working in education, in a role directly supporting revenue generation. * Candidate must possess 5-7 years marketing experience, in roles of increasing responsibility with minimum 3 years of experience in hands-on project management required. * Candidate must possess understanding of education marketplace and strategies to communicate in that environment. * Candidate will have a track record and ability to demonstrate previous real-world examples of managing integrated marketing campaigns from initial idea to completion. * Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills including copy writing for the web, emails, and printed collateral. * Must be comfortable working in a fast-faced, entrepreneurial environment. * Laser-beam focus on attention to detail critical and the ability to manage a diverse workload. * Candidate must be willing to travel (10%). * Advanced degree is a plus, Masters degree or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience. * Working knowledge of technology including digital media and emerging web technologies and their application in the educational environment is a plus. * Basic knowledge of graphic design principals and software is a plus. * Must have the legal right to work Please refer to job code 9234 when responding to this ad.
