Summary: The Direct Response Fundraising unit builds the foundation for optimal long-term donor value by providing professional resources that increase revenue and capacity for the American Red Cross. This position works with the analytics and program management teams to track and report data, reports and budgets with regards to programs and donor performance Responsibilities: Work with, program managers, external partners and finance on budget development. Monitor and maintain monthly program fundraising budget against actual. Report and communicate budget data to analysts, management, program staff and partnering vendors for incorporation into reporting. Manage monthly expense invoicing against budget line to ensure that invoicing are paid timely. Maintain mail quantity counts and distribute report to team. Works with database manager and agencies to execute and deliver semi-weekly and monthly reports. Manages revenue distribution process with Finance. Identifies and tracks data supporting direct response fundraising. Develops and analyzes related reports for program manager, chapter and management. Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and liaison for chapter data to Customer Service in Direct Response. Works with chapters to manage data in marketing database. This includes mapping initial data as well as ongoing maintenance and updates. Performs related duties as assigned. Requirements: A Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, Business or a relevant field. One year of direct marketing analytics experience required (preferably two years experience with a non-profit organization or comparable experience with a direct response consulting firm or agency). Excellent written and oral communication skills. A high degree of organization, coordination, and analytical skills, including a creative approach to problem solving. Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing and multidimensional environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience in the use of spreadsheets, pivot tables, OLAP cubes and donor databases and presentation software is necessary. Knowledge of a donor database system (preferably Team Approach) is desirable. Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Flexibility and willingness to work outside standard business hours are necessary. A moderate amount of business travel may be required.
