Sr. Requirements Business Analyst

Performance Profile: * Contribute to all aspects of requirements definition and management execution activities for SDLC projects * Elicit requirements from stakeholders and product champion, using techniques such as interviews, JAD sessions, surveys and/or other techniques as needed * Maintain compliance with project specific standards, processes and tools for Requirements Definition and Management. * Assist in the management of Requirements Change Control Processes and Configuration Management Processes * Ensure Traceability, Quality Assurance and Configuration Management for requirements through the SDLC and across the team * Proactively communicate with design and development personnel work efforts to ensure understanding and adherence with customer requirements * Decompose, refine and document Requirements using a variety of graphical and textual techniques, to include Use Case Scenarios and Diagrams, Functional Requirements Specifications, Activity and Process Diagrams, and Data Dictionaries * Assist in the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts, and perform test execution as needed. * Participate in and contribute to As-Is and To-Be Process Modeling Sessions, and build process models Position-specific Requirements: * bachelors degree * Must be able to obtain government public trust clearance * 5 years of professional business experience * 3 years experience of progressively responsible experience in a SDLC project environment * 2 years experience eliciting requirements from stakeholders and product champions, such as in interviews, JAD sessions, and/or other techniques. * 2 years experience defining, technical SDLC requirements using a variety of graphical and textual techniques, to include Use Case Scenarios and Diagrams, Functional Requirements Specifications, Activity and Process Diagrams, and Data Dictionaries -1 year experience in requirements definition and management activities for

one or more of the following projects types: - Service Oriented Architecture - COTS Implementations - Integrations - Custom Application Development - Web Based Applications * 1 year developing process models with inputs, outputs controls and mechanisms

Position Specific Desired Skills * Prior experience working in a consulting firm strongly desired * RUP or CBAAP Certifications a plus * Experience working within or supporting federal civilian agencies * Demonstrated ability to understand customers business needs, and develop, present and discuss IT solutions and scenarios that solve customers business problems * Exceptional written and verbal communications skills * Experience with the use of automated testing tools * Understanding and/or experience in database and software design techniques and diagramming

MANDOTORY TECHNICAL SKILLS: 1. The analyst should have experience working with minimally one major requirements management tool such as Rational RequisitePro, 3SL Cradle, DOORS, etc. 2. The analyst should have experience developing & reviewing requirements documents(both functional & technical), use cases, and modeling artifacts. 3. The analyst should have in-depth exposure to full system development lifecycle and Iterative Development lifecycle. 4. The analyst should have configuration and change management tool and process experience.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: -The analyst should have exposure to Configuration and Change Management tools and techniques. -The analyst should have exposure to process modeling using BPMN, UML and RUP. -The analyst should have exposure to industry-accepted practices from organizations that include CMMI, PMI, ISO, NIST, IEEE, and Six Sigma.

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS: 1. The analyst has experience working for the Government. 2. The analyst has systems engineering bent of mind. 3. The analyst should have excellent communication skills ? both written and oral. 4. The analyst should be an excellent team player.
