Medical Lab Technician

Job Details:

This is a standby position which works on an as needed basis only with no guaranteed minimum hours.

Provides quality diagnostic laboratory procedures with a patient focused approach.  The technician will demonstrate knowledge in the current concepts of his/her field performing at a level of competence that allows independent thought and action.  Is responsible for work area, workflow, operation and maintenance of equipment and performance of QC procedures.

Requires:

Registered or registry eligible as an MT or MLT through NCCLS, AMT, ASCP or NCA.

Prior experience in a related role in a clinical laboratory environment.
