Location NJ Roseland Job Description The CMO Head Global Sourcing and Contracts will devise clear, strategic and effective sourcing strategies for Intervet, Schering-Ploughs global contract manufacturing operations. Work in conjunction with Global Law, Global Quality and Global Environmental Health and Safety to assure Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) around the globe meet all company and local regulatory requirements. This role will oversee CMO sourcing and contractual activities.

The CMO Head Global Sourcing and Contracts will have a strong background in understanding pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing as it relates to Global Contract Manufacturers. He/She must be customer oriented, have a sense of urgency with strong managerial skills, self-driven with proven ability to lead multi-cultural teams to execute projects within agreed deadlines. The individual will also have strong presentation skills and the ability to interact with Sr. Management.

Main areas of responsibility include:

* Global CMO contract management

* CMO Strategic sourcing and project management

* Ensure compliance to company legal, SHE, financial and external regulatory requirements

* Develop strong relationships with internal customers and external contract manufacturers to facilitate collaboration, joint problem resolution, and continuous improvement

* Benchmark industry best practices for manufacturing outsourcing

* Continuously improve CMO sourcing processes

Minimal education required for this job Bachelor of Science Skills Minimum Qualifications to be considered for this position: • BS or equivalent degree required, MS preferred • Scientific background preferred • 4+ years within scientific sourcing • 10+ years experience in Sourcing Management

Ideally candidates will also have: • Enhanced knowledge of third party manufacturing contracts. Must have the ability to read and write CMO contracts • Excellent business knowledge combined with strong negotiating skills • Must be results focused with strong priority setting capabilities • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment • Strong ability to make decisions to assure business goals are achieved • Strategic/Creative thinker with strong problem solving skills • Strong oral and written communication skills
