Responsibilities: 1. Management and supervision of the companys US Federal, State & Local tax function. 2. Provide leadership and proactive direction in the areas of tax strategy, structure, planning and compliance. 3. Support leadership of SVP ? Tax and continue to build a results-oriented organization within the finance division. This includes proactively developing the staff and the analysis which facilitates business management while minimizing tax liabilities. 4. Integral member of management team, especially with regards to transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures and dispositions. 5. Regular communication with divisional finance teams, legal, business development and HR departments. 6. Direct the formulation and monitoring of the companys compliance activities; ensuring compliance with all tax requirements for both income and non-income taxes. 7. Support the companys overall planning by recommending financial and administrative options and suggestions to meet demands, priorities and future requirements of the companys complex and dynamic business needs. 8. Oversee all examinations by federal, state and local jurisdictions. Requirements: *At least 15 years of progressive tax management and proven leadership record with strong working knowledge of the following: o US Federal, state & local tax issues o Strategic tax planning o Partnership issues o M&A and transaction intricacies o Foreign tax credit planning o Accounting for income taxes, tax forecasts and earnings & profit studies o Sales/Use, property and other non-income tax issues *Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills: o Demonstrated ability to shape a culture of excellence, integrity and accountability through assembling strong and focused teams. o Excellent oral and written communication skills: o Must be able to interact effectively with management team, corporate partners and members of the tax department. o A superior work ethic and dedication to the highest work quality and job excellence. o Ability to clearly communicate goals and motivate internal and external constituents with confidence * CPA and MS Taxation; JD highly desirable * Media/entertainment industry background helpful. * Must have the legal right to work in the United States Please refer to job code 9262 when responding to this ad.
