Job ID: 47451009001 Description: Our Technology & Management Solutions group is growing and we are currently seeking a Senior Program Support Analyst to work on client site in the Washington DC area. The Senior Program Support Analyst will support a program management team at Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) within the Department of Homeland Security. The individual will be responsible for analytics and case management reporting activities in support of immigration benefits fraud detection to include the following: * Meet with client staff to learn/understand their fraud detection, intelligence and mission support business processes. * Meet with other DHS offices as well as federal law enforcement agencies regarding immigration fraud detection. * Identify key patterns, linkages and themes in immigration benefit fraud and how these link to the intelligence business processes. * Support the development/refinement of fraud detection methodologies. * Define immigration benefits fraud detection analyses and reporting requirements. * Learn and mine data in core CIS information systems and define necessary data sharing agreements. * Develop reports, charts, and graphs primarily using MS Excel and MS Access, but also SQL querying / ODBC experience is needed. * Document analytic narrative in support of recurring fraud detection operations reports and supporting data. * Present progress updates, analytic findings, and briefings to senior clients and project manager. * The candidate should have a deep knowledge of reporting, analytics, trending and analysis. * The candidate should have an orientation towards strong customer service, and the ability to accept and deliver results with creativity and enthusiasm. Required skills: * A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. * Strong MS Excel and Access experience (e.g. from data acquisition via ODBC to data integration to visualization). * Experience using SQL * Ability to manage client expectations and produce products that demonstrate results. * Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work for self and a small team in a rapidly changing environment. * Ability to direct the work of a small team of junior data analysts. * Ability to understand fraud case management and related metrics. * Ability to understand/learn relational databases (SQL Server), gather and mine raw data. * Analytical skills, strong attention to detail and ability to conceptualize reports. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Desired skills: * Experience using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server and Business Intelligence Tools. * Experience using Siebel or SAS. * Experience in quantitative analytics and/or financial/business reporting * Experience working on-site for federal clients, DHS ideal. * Familiarity with CIS systems.
