Position Summary: The quality of the educational services we offer our families is dependent on the quality of the Tutors we hire. We are seeking outstanding Tutor Trainers to train our Tutors in Kaplan Tutorings proven instructional methods. Tutor training may take place during day, evening, or weekend hours. At Kaplan Tutoring we deliver significant academic progress through skills-based tutoring and homework support. In-home private tutoring sessions feature a 1:1 student to tutor ratio. In some areas we also offer small group in-center tutoring in a 3:1 student to tutor ratio. We begin every program with a Tutor-led assessment that results in a customized learning plan. Then, Kaplan Tutors use proven instructional methods to help kids excel. As a Tutor Trainer you will develop our tutors who will in turn impact every childs academic progress, motivation and self confidence. Responsibilities: ? Train our tutors in Kaplans curriculum using our proven instructional methods ? Provide instruction according to prepared learning plans ? Create and maintain a motivational and enthusiastic learning environment ? Meticulously record trainee performance and track trainees? progress ? Administer and score training assessments ? Provide direct and consistent feedback to trainees throughout the tutor training program ? Communicate with our Directors and Managers to provide regular tutor training progress reports ? Keep abreast of Kaplan Tutorings training and curriculum updates Qualifications: ? Previous management and adult training experience ? Bachelors Degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher ? Ability to explain challenging concepts in a motivating way ? Future commitment to Kaplan Tutoring for 1+ years ? Ability to be the model of exceptional tutoring ? Ability to deliver Kaplan Tutoring Training program with precision ? Ability to implement and give feedback immediately and professionally ? Good time management skills ? Weekday, evening, and weekend availability ? Access to reliable transportation ? Excellent role model for adults and children ?
