PSI seeks highly qualified candidates for Director, Overseas Financial Operations Group to set the strategic direction of PSIs internal audit and review function. This full-time position is based in Washington, D.C., and reports to the CFO. Responsibilities: * Managing PSIs Overseas Financial Operations Group (OFOG) and leading a team of approximately ten advisors to schedule, coordinate, and conduct financial and operational internal assessments of PSI activities worldwide * Setting the strategic direction of PSIs overseas financial operations group * Assessment of internal controls * Verification of the integrity of accounting and financial reporting systems * Identification of high risk projects and locations, and establishment of regular Risk Assessments * Developing and updating assessment programs and risk assessment methodologies * Identifying new compliance requirements * Review reports prepared by OFOG team members and raise/discuss significant findings and recommendations with senior management and PSIs Audit Committee, as requested * Coordinate follow-up activities to ensure that assessment findings and recommendations are implemented in a timely manner * Significant travel required Experience: * Demonstrated leadership abilities, including strong influencing skills and the ability to set strategic direction * Strong management and interpersonal skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent analytical and organizational skills * Adept at assessing complex processes to identify potential financial, operational, and compliance risks * Strong business acumen, excellent analytic skills, and thorough familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Significant internal and/or external audit experience required * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related major; Masters degree in Business or Finance preferred * C.P.A. and / or C.I.A. preferred Preference will also be given to candidates with experience with USAID contracts and grants; oral and written fluency in a second language, especially French or Spanish; developing country work experience; knowledge of/experience with international donor community. | Back | Please refer to job code 2399439 when responding to this ad.
