The HR Generalist manages the day-to-day human resource operations of a specific client base. The HR Generalist manages the administration of human resource policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Training and Development, Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Development, Compliance and recruiting. The HR Generalist originates and leads HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-orientated, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Policy development, documentation and interpretation * Responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory and reporting requirements such as I-9 documentation, Cobra/Hipaa administration, applicant tracking, etc * Assists with ongoing Organizational development recommendations and activities. * Assists with Compensation and benefits development and administers programs * Maintains, administers and monitors all employee disability, workers compensation and/or FMLA for specific client base. * Oversees and coordinates the Performance Management cycle for client base * Responds for employee relations issues for client base. Assists and advises managers regarding the execution of employee corrective action. * Performs recruitment activities for exempt, office and technical position openings for specific client base. Coordinates temporary staffing needs, as required. Works collaboratively with hiring manager (s) to source, screen, interview and recommend candidates for selection process. * Responsible for the coordination and delivery of employee orientation program, ensuring employees gain an understanding of the organization, business and HR policies and procedures. * In collaboration with HR Manager, is responsible for the development and delivery of employee training initiatives for client base. * Responsible for day-to- employee communications. Is available as a resource to all employees. * Assists in the development and maintenance of employee safety, welfare, wellness and health programs * Works collaboratively with HR team regarding ongoing HRIS administration. * Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, prepares turnover reports and makes recommendation to HR team. * Manages the company unemployment claims documentation and representation. * Assists in developing and coordinating employee recognition programs and activities. EDUCATION & TRAINING: Education: BS Degree in Human Resources or related field PHR Certification desired SKILLS & ABILITIES: Experience: * 3 years of Human Resource Generalist Experience Required * Prior Human Resource Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment or supporting engineering, sales and marketing desired * Excellent communication and influencing skills * Ability to independently make sound business decision * Microsoft Office experience required * ADP/HRB experience highly desirable * Candidate should have proven experience in the following facets of HR * Strong knowledge of State and Federal Labor Laws to include FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc. * Compliance ?
