The Sr. Director of Business Development for our Medical division will have responsibility for developing new strategic alliances with key customer targets. This person will utilize their contacts within the medical market, and knowledge and experience of product and device development and manufacturing, to create new business with select target accounts. The responsibilities for this position are to: Develop and drive senior-level customer relationships, analyze and understand customers business strategies, future product plans and needs and align Flextronics resources to provide a winning long term solution. Maintain and develop new business opportunities in current accounts and act as the focal point in delivering Flextronics solutions which include product design & development, manufacturing, and worldwide logistics solutions. Preparation of quotations and presentation materials as needed. Customer contract negotiations. Develop and communicate metrics for all levels of internal and external management. Be hands-on and have the ability to build and sustain business relationships, close deals and drive high levels of customer satisfaction. Requirements Requirements include: * A minimum of 10 (recent) years successful sales and account management experience managing a global account. * Solid understanding of medical products and market requirements with the ability to articulate and demonstrate solutions provided by Flextronics. Experience in the In Vitro Diagnostic market would be a benefit. * A mix of strong sales, understanding of medical product or device development, life cycle, and quality needs are essential. The candidate preferably will also have design, or manufacturing experience. * Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills will facilitate teamwork and effect satisfaction with internal and external customers. You must be a customer-driven self-starter and team player, energized in an ever-changing fast-paced business environment with superb project, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience in a global environment interfacing with many cultures and languages. Therefore a good level of spoken and written English is required. * Experience in medical sales with a proven track record of advancement and successful selling. Proficiency in MS-Office applications is mandatory. * A degree in an engineering discipline and an MBA is highly preferred.. Please refer to job code 25999-C when responding to this ad.
