The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Planner/Earned Value Analyst. Responsibilities Summary: Support Department Enterprise Level Schedule, provide planning support on multiple project schedules, support Earned Value implementation, and provide analysis on contract performance reports. Provide planning support: *Responsibilities include the setup of project plans for major projects, providing scheduling support for project schedules; Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) maintain project plans throughout the project lifecycle. *Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting and periodic program performance assessments utilizing planning and portfolio management tools. *Assist with re-planning, change management, and resource allocations in the IMS. *Work with the Project Manager(s) in managing a project through its lifecycle. Provide planning support for Enterprise Level Schedule: *Development of Enterprise Level schedule. *Schedule will be utilized to track and forecast work. *Will need to be able to interact with Senior Department Management, Project Management and Control Account Managers to ensure that project work is captured accurately and statuses communicated correctly. Earned Value Implementation: *Must have experience working in the development and implementation of an EVMS that is compliant with the ANSI 748B standards. *Must be familiar with the tracking and analysis of BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, BAC and EAC. *Ability to interact with Project Management, Control Account Managers, contracts and subcontractors to insure that project contractual, cost and schedule requirements are met. Qualifications Required: *Bachelor of Science or equivalent is required. *Must have a minimum 4-8 years experience working in an Aerospace environment. *Must be proficient in the use of project management scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project. *Must have solid PM knowledge and experience (5-10 yrs experience). *Must have a background in EVMS. *Highly motivated self-starter, capable of independent operations and attention to detail. *Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint proficiency, Proficient with Microsoft Project. * Demonstrated oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and analytical skills. *Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment. Desired: *Experience with Cobra reporting tool and wInsight analysis reporting tool, working towards Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Special Work Conditions Occasional overtime required.
