The Sr Financial Management Specialist shall be responsible for conducting various financial support activities with the DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer. Will formulate executive level financial reporting for multiple departments within the DHS OCIO IT Services Office.*hj Required Skills Knowledge of and proficiency with the DHS Federal Financial Management System. Duties include but are not limited to: FFMS financial system analytical services; FFMS financial management system queries per customer requirements; ad hoc financial reporting and analysis; spend plan formulation and execution support and oversight. This position requires a person with the ability to perform within a dynamic IT environment and able to meet customer financial reporting requirement deadlines. Recommend system upgrades and capabilities and support development and certification of approved improvements to system capabilities. Desired Skills Additional Knowledge and Skills: 1. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior personnel. 2. Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data. Education Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent Experience 5 - 10 years total experience or equivalent in a consulting setting. A High level of proficiency with using the DHS Federal Financial Management System (FFMS) is required for this position.
