USCIS requires imaging services for desktops and laptops. SRA is looking for qualified staff to provide IT hardware and software testing support on tasks associated with the imaging services. The candidate is responsible for developing test cases, test execution scenarios, and conducting testing activities for subsets of complex systems and subsystems. Should have a basic grasp of the principles, theories, and concepts of the software development process and may have extensive subject matter expertise for the system under development. Follows established project standards and processes including CMMI. Duties include employing system analysis techniques to translate system requirements specifications into test cases/scenarios that ensure all the assigned subset requirements are part of the system to be delivered and that these requirements operate correctly; completing the bulk of these activities independently. Provides end products to the test lead for review and approval. During test execution, works independently to ensure full test coverage of the assigned test subset. Responsible for generating problem and change reports, communicating orally and in writing with the test lead and developers, and ensuring the corrective action for these problem and change reports operates correctly. Duties may also include development of automated test scripts which may employ using Visual Basic and/or C programming. Provide status to the test lead on all test activities. The candidate will work with the customer, PM, tech Lead, and other personnel to ensure tasks are being completed in accordance with the project schedule. Specific experience with the installation, configuration, and customization of software applications is also required. Additionally, the Contractor shall provide some level of design support, evaluation, testing, and make recommendations on maintaining and enhancing the USCIS infrastructure. Design, planning, and scheduling documentation may be required. ITIL process experience helpful. As a Testing Engineer supporting USCIS imaging services, candidates should have experience in supporting desktops and laptops and the ability to manage a library of system images. The Contractor shall conform to ITIL best practices for Configuration Management.
