Application Support Associate

Seeking Unix/Linux/Windows problem solver to support, improve the stability and performance of Legal and Compliance applications. The individual will be involved in supporting and assisting the operations team. Responsibilities will include application support, application and system monitoring, batch stream management (Autosys), capacity planning, outage response and the solving of all types of system and application problems in a timely manner. The individual will be responsible for installations/support of Middleware and deployments/support of vendor/custom developed applications. He will also be responsible for developing/supporting custom PERL scripts for new jobs develop/maintain run books and communicate status to the IT management and Business users. Skills Required - 5 years working as a Production Support professional; - 3+ years experience with Unix and Windows - Perl, KSH, Autosys SQL (preferably SYBASE and DB2), Apache, Tomcat, support and web development. - Experience working with Full Project Lifecycle; - Experience working in an environment using a formal SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle); - Good Oral and Written Communication Skills; - Comfortable speaking with all levels of management; - Desire and motivation to learn; - Willingness to understand and support some of the technological solutions being developed. Skills Desired - Actimize (AIS/RCM) - Informatica - Financial Services Industry knowledge preferred but not required; - Knowledge of CMM and industry best practices preferred;
