Senior Developer/Architect

We are seeking a senior developer/architect who will be involved in all aspects of a real-time risk trade monitoring system. The system retrieves trades done through different trading applications and presents important aspects of those trades along with actual PnL associated with those trades. The system will eventually be used for equity risk trade monitoring by traders across all business lines in all regions. Responsibilities of this role include interfacing with the traders to gather business requirements and provide support, working with various teams within the organization, working with teams in London, India and Tokyo, designing and developing new applications and enhancing/tuning existing applications. 8-10 years of solid Java programming experience with the last three years in GUI development is required. Ideal candidate should be very comfortable in designing and building large-scale enterprise applications, tools and libraries. Knowledge of Flex is highly desirable, but we will accept Swing experience. Some knowledge of Perl and shell scripting is required. Database/SQL experience is required. Knowledge of Hibernate and previous experience in Equities is a plus.
