Collateral Analyst

As a Collateral Analyst you will be a member of a team responsible for receiving, loading and analyzing data necessary to support trading and advisory businesses.  This entry level position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a growing business and gain first hand experience with the purchase, sale and securitization of assets such as residential mortgages, distressed residential mortgages, home equity loans, auto loans, student loans, and commercial real estate loans.  As a member of the team you will play a critical role by maintaining essential data and providing the necessary reporting to clients, rating agencies, accountants, internal team members and management.  This position requires a candidate who can be responsive under demanding circumstances and is willing to work long hours. Skills Required • Four year college degree.  Strong performance.  Top school. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAS, Microsoft Access and/or SQL. • Interest in financial markets • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Skills Desired • Experience with CAS or SAS for experienced collateral analysts preferred. • Servicing, distressed mortgage or other asset related experience a plus.
