Intern - Interest Rate Product Control

Global Product Control - NY Intern The Interest Rates Product Control Team is looking for a motivated candidate for an internship within the Fixed Income Division.  The candidate will be working alongside controllers on their day-to-day responsibilities, assisting in team initiatives and projects and will receive great experience in product knowledge and overall general Finance. Responsibilities: Work closely with various controllers to learn the daily functions, including daily P&L and reconciliations. Learn firm wide system architecture and processes from trade bookings to calculation/generation of P&L and Balance Sheet. Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs and have a chance to learn about the culture and values of the organization as a whole. Participate in various team-wide projects and GPC training classes, including product and trading desk knowledge. Assist managers with streamlining weekly and quarterly reports, such as Due Diligence and MCR, as well as daily processes. Ad hoc requests from controllers and access to various Officers and Senior Management across Finance teams. Skills Required Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills. Demonstration of the highest standard of integrity and professionalism. Record of excellent academic performance. GPA over 3.3 Expected graduation date December 2010 / May 2011
