Equity Proprietary Trading P/L Controller

The Equity Proprietary Desk is one of the most dynamic businesses within Morgan Stanley. The desk manages several significant strategies including Systematic Trading, FMAC, Strategic Investments, and Process Driven Trading.  The desk trades a wide variety of products including stock, options, futures, CDS, Private Placement, and foreign exchange. The manager will be in contact with the desk on a daily basis on p/l issues and assist with ad-hoc requests. In addition, the manager will be able to expand his or her breadth of product knowledge through supporting this growing business. The Equity Proprietary Business Control Group is looking for a strong manager who will be primarily responsible for: ? Manage the production of daily P/L ? Month-end close work ? Ad-hoc reporting ? Team building ? Problem solving ? Process improvement Skills Required ? Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance ? 4-6 years of Financial Services experience ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ? Team player ? Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite ? Excellent communication skills ? Detail-oriented Skills Desired Equity or fixed-income p/l background
