Position Title Subcontractor Administrator Posting Date 08-05-2009 Posting Number 20090493 Grade 12 Division 02 - OPERATIONS AND TREASURY Category Administrative/Professional Object Code 100 F/T or P/T: FT Position Summary Administer NYUs Sponsored Research Subcontracting Process to include correctly identifying various types of sponsored agreements, writing subaward agreements, ensuring all necessary documentation is received, and, on a case-by-case basis, exercising discretion and good judgment to determine which additional terms and conditions should be included in such agreements. Send out approved subawards to sub-recipients and interface with the subrecipients over awards administrative life. Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time and effort in a highly visible, fast-paced environment. Manage all Contract Office correspondence, both internal and external. Identify and understand contractual process, triaging documents as appropriate. Review and update contract and subaward correspondence and contractual agreements for accuracy and process accordingly. Submit closeout documentation as appropriate. Facilitate submission of the required New York City and NYS responsibility questionnaires. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Initiate contact with building maintenance on routine facility issues. Qualifications/Required Education Associates degree in related field. Preferred Education BS Preferred. A Certification as a Notary Public is desired. Required Experience 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination. Experience providing a high level of customer service at all times, while operating in a busy environment. Preferred: Preferred Experience 2 years of related experience (with Associates degree). 1 year of related experience (with Bachelors degree). Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and maintain a detailed focus in a high-traffic, fast-paced and highly visible environment. Critical thinking. Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing and database applications. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ability to review, understand and incorporate the necessary components of the prime agreements, Principal Investigator requirements and NYU policies into subcontracts.
