Support Engineer/ Senior Engineer/ Technology Specialist

Position Summary This position is responsible for performing, with supervision, a variety of engineering tasks in supporting the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of systems, structures, and components in generation of electrical energy. This position serves as the engineering program owner for the stations Preventative Maintenance Program and backup program engineer for the equipment reliability and maintenance rule programs. This position monitors changes in industry requirements and sponsors and implements needed program changes. This position acts as a focal point for addressing all program issues, and ensures that programs are meeting all industry requirements, are being implemented in accordance with program procedures, and are achieving intended function and goals. Currently looking at filling this position with a Support Technology Specialist (004720), Support Engineer (003523), Senior Technology Specialist (002950) or Senior Engineer (001155). Primary Responsibilities 1. Plan and conduct engineering assignments, working alone or as part of a project team. 2. Act as stations lead for the Preventative Maintenance Program. - Coordinate and administer the overall routine task program for which station engineering is the owner - Maintain PM templates for defining the scope, basis and frequency of PMs. - Monitor and report on PM program health - Perform industry benchmarking - Conduct PM feedback program with maintenance - Responsible for PM program performance indicators - Work closely with work management personnel as part of the T-26 process. 3. Assist and interface with other groups (for example, Nuclear Maintenance, Operations, Work Management) to identify and recommend problem resolutions and implementation strategies. 4. Backup program engineer for the equipment reliability program and maintenance rule program. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. Associate degree in a technical area or substantial technical training. 2. Demonstrated experience and improving performance in a nuclear technical area of expertise. Experience may come from working in a nuclear technical field for 2-5 years and supplemented by technical training. 3. Possess and apply knowledge and skills to effect completion of difficult technical assignments. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to both technical and non-technical personnel. Sound technical judgment with ability to provide solution recommendations for technical problems or issues, as demonstrated in experience. Valid PA drivers license. PC skills including MS Office suite. Preferred Qualifications 1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or in a related science. 2. Knowledge of requirements and industry standards related to preventative maintenance programs. 3. Knowledge of PPL procedures, programs and policies.
