Personal Lines Claims Specialist

I am looking for a new talent for future opportunities within the Personal Lines Claims Department. We are looking for experienced Property, Auto Physical Damage, and Bodily Injury Claims specialist who will assume full responsibility for managing all claims activites in a south New Jersey branch with significant span of control. Claims Specialist are responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing claims handling strategy, with the objective of delivering a highly competitive claims product in terms of quality of customer service.

Responsibilities: - Implement, communicate, and manage polices and procedures that will that enable the branch claims organization to successfully deliver on the claims handling strategy.

- Oversee and manage the entire handling process working independently and through specials projects to direct the branchs activities in the activities.

- Provide guidance, leadership, and/or analytical support for special projects

- Works with the organization to collect data, map critical processes

- Obtain information and maintain records of accidents or personal property losses policyholders and claimants through telephone and written reports.

- Arrange appraisals, review appraisal reports and communicate with policyholders, claimants, physicians, medical providers, attorneys and repair shops.

- Secure essential facts about accidents, assess liability and compensability, negotiate settlements and explain denials to policyholders and claimants.

- Register claims, update status notes, establish target dates, communicate with other, schedule appointments and release payments on an automated system.

Working hours: 8:00:30-

Ability to manage and direct claims operations and to effectively communicate operations to staff Bachelors degree and 2+ years experience in personal lines claims
