Machine Operator Wanted

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and skilled individual to work in our machine shop in Shirley, New York.  At least 1 year of experience operating a machine, particularly a rotary press would be beneficial.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must as well as the abilty to read, write, and follow instructions.  This position is a temporary position with the liklihood of going permanent for the right candidate.  Qualified individuals must be able to conduct the following job responsibilities:

Job Description:

- Learn to use basic measuring tools including caliper, durometer, calculator and ruler - Learning the material used in your department - Examines parts after initial setup to determine whether cut is through the material and not too deep - Counts parts to be run by measuring in feet on counter - Removes material from the machine and stacks for packing - Pack product run - Cleans machine at the end of the day - Attention to detail is essential

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

The right candiate will have the ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  There will be an assessment given to demonstrate this.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent Resume Not Required
