The ERM team is looking for an individual to support model development initiatives and client service related activities within the team. This individual will participate in complex consulting projects to assess risk due to man-made catastrophic events, such as terrorism, as well as human casualties from natural catastrophic events including earthquakes and influenza. Responsibilities include development and delivery of client reports and presentations, interpretation of analysis results, and other ad hoc requests. Other responsibilities include internal and external client support as well as the development of related sales and marketing initiatives. Additionally, this position is responsible for the development of customized data solutions, model validation and QA, creation of model data inputs, and producing documentation and training materials. The position requires a BA/BS or MA/MS degree with strong mathematical/quantitative/technical skills. We require that the individual be able to apply their quantitative and consultative skills to contribute to the development of complex models while focusing on developing client presentations and proposals. The ideal candidate would enjoy performing complex analyses and be comfortable interfacing with existing clients and prospects. Interpersonal, communications and presentations skills would be crucial to this role. The ability to multi-task and work on concurrent projects is essential to a candidates success in this position. The candidate will need a high level of proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation software tools (Excel, Access, VBA and SQL). Ideally, candidates will have a strong interest in natural and man-made disasters and be able to apply and contribute their knowledge to projects which will be jointly developed with others on the ERM team. Any prior exposure or experience with RMS products and/or catastrophe modeling would be beneficial. The candidates ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people on multiple levels will enable success in this exciting position.
