Principal Responsibilities

* Responsible for processing payments for Network Attorneys and Agencies. * Process all payments received, in priority order, on a daily basis at the direction of management. * Input all payments efficiently and accurately into proprietary system.  May research payments as necessary. * Maintain and organize all pertinent back up information to substantiate payment postings as necessary. * Responsible for reconciling any discrepancies found in balancing at a batch level or at the end of business. * Identify, correct, and re-apply misapplied payments and/or identify, research, develop resolution, and communicate status and resolution of rejected payments to Network Attorneys and Agencies. * Analyze payment records to ensure payments are remitted to Network Attorneys and Agencies correctly and in accordance with established timeframes. * Review account payments received through the proprietary system and determine and ensure correct method of payment processed.  Notify Network Attorneys and Agencies of processing errors and recommend resolution. * Perform trouble-shooting of payment processing processes and procedures and develop resolutions to issues and concerns. * Perform daily closing of data paths, run all system generated reports, and reconcile system to daily deposits. * Prepare weekly payment batch forecast comparisons for Network Attorneys and Agencies. * Oversee maintenance of payment processing module of proprietary system(s). * Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all Client, Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. * Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with NCO policies and procedures. * Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. * Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures. * Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement. * Make recommendations to implement improved processes. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience. * 1-2 years related experience preferred. * Knowledge and experience with general ledger functions and accounting principles. * Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office. * Ability to work independently and take initiative. * Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. * Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. * Ability to work in a team fostered environment. * Ability to work in multi-tasked environment. * Ability to prioritize and organize work. * Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
