The Sr. Staff Acquisition Specialist shall provide Sr. Staff level support to the clients PMO organization, working independently, and with minimal direction from the task PM or the client. The Sr. Acquisition Specialist shall have the primary responsibility for managing all phases of complex Information Technology acquisitions being able to work and lead teams of personnel assigned to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acquisition process.*hj Required Skills Applicant will be required to produce sample work products e.g. acquisition plans, statements of objectives/statements of work, vendor selection/evaluation criteria etc. that indicate their qualifications against the requirements of this position. Ability to work proactively and independently on acquisition projects possessing an in depth knowledge and interpretation of the Federal Acquisition regulations, directives and policies, applying those interpretations fully and legally. Ability to provide clear leadership, technical direction and guidance to all lower level acquisition personnel. Desired Skills Department of Homeland Security(DHS)acquisition process and system experience a plus. Prefer that all the years of experience are in Government contracting. Education Masters or equivalent substitute experience. At least 24 semester hours among accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management. Experience An associates degree with at least 15 years of experience, a bachelors with at least 10 years of experience or a masters with at least 8 years of experience.
