Candidate will be part of an integrated system development team working to transform eight existing legacy systems into a new event-driven paradigm. This position requires a basic grasp of the principles, theories, and concepts of the software development process and subject matter expertise on requirements practices. Successful candidate will coordinate with project teams to ensure successful and consistent requirements gathering/documentation activities. Activities include: ? Convert user requirements into functional and design requirements; ? Coordinate/schedule requirements meetings with business and IT teams; ? Facilitate requirements meetings; ? Collect and read existing documentation, observe existing systems in use, and document as is? business processes; ? Conduct JAD sessions; ? Draw concept and detailed wireframes; ? Write user requirements; ? Facilitate discussions to collect feedback and map to be? business processes; ? With user feedback, prioritize and conduct a risk-based impact analysis of requirements, coordinate with CCB or Governance Board to review impact analysis and determine scope of a release; ? Work with developers to create working prototypes; ? Document all requirements in a requirements traceability matrix; ? Draft Concept of Operations for a release; ? Draft Software Requirements Specification, Data Specification (in collaboration with development teams), and System Architecture (in collaboration with development teams) documents; and ? Complete Phase Exit Review package. Daily Responsibilities Continued This position will interact frequently with other requirements analysts, developers, testers, and managers of project teams consisting of Federal staff and consultants. Work will be performed as part of a Technical Management team providing cross-project oversight and under the direction of a Requirements Lead; however, much of the work will be performed independently with minimal direction.
