DEADLINE: November 9, 2009 QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree with one year related experience or an associates degree with three years related experience. A degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Sciences with concentration in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or Visual Communications or related discipline is preferred. Website design, form design and familiarity with business systems processes outside of the classroom. Familiarity with web standards, accessibility, usability, HTML, and CSS required. Requires the ability to write HTML code, and interpret and edit javascript. Cross platform (Mac and PC) experience and a working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop or equivalent preferred. Effective communication and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and be detail oriented. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with the analysis, design, development, and support of Web-based information systems. Learns to visualize concepts, and identify and understand both business and client needs. Contributes to the creation of user interfaces for self-service and customer-friendly departmental systems focusing on web accessibility, usability, and functionality. Learns to document functional requirements and application behavior. Assists in performing quality assurance for implementation of new web applications and for changes to existing applications including browser, platform, and functional testing and debugging. Learns about and uses a variety of Web development tools, methods, and products. Develops a general familiarity with the many business systems of the institution and associated technologies. Participates as member of team working collaboratively with campus clients and IT staff to develop or acquire business systems solutions. Assists in supporting acquired web solutions used centrally on campus. Establishes and maintains appropriate working relationships with colleagues and clients. Follows University policies and procedures governing IT efforts. Attends internal and external training programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
