Ops Business Analyst for Cash Equity The Cash Equity Projects Team delivers strategic, global business process and technology-based solutions for Morgan Stanleys Institutional Securities Operations. This unique opportunity located in NY, covering the Americas region, requires a Business Analyst/Tester to work with senior team members to deliver against various work streams for the Equity businesss top initiatives. This individual will interface with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple Operational, Finance and Business domains including the Client Service Group, Trade Support group, Compliance, CORE Equity and Program Trading units. The candidate will have the following responsibilities: QA-UAT Testing and Coordination ? Leverage the Quality Center software tool and the various applications to assist in QA testing for the teams projects ? Analyze defects that arise during testing and assist in gathering sign off from the Operations user base ? Liase with users and key stakeholders during the UAT process to train them on the functionality, review any discrepancies, and ensure sign off is in place prior to go live? Project Management ? Manage work plan, requirement collection, test strategy execution, implementation ? Highlight issues, risks and scope changes throughout all phases of the project ? Track and communicate project status to team and management ? Collaborate with IT on test plan development, design test cases and UAT process ? Coordinate user training & manage any hand-offs to formal training organization Business Process Definition, Analysis & Solution Design ? Interface with Clients to define current state process and business requirements documentation ? Review and validate business rules and requirements and obtain all required sign-offs ? Design future state process flows, incorporating requirements and obtain client validation ? Work with IT to translate business requirements into future state system specs ? Act as liaison/agent between IT and client for requirements and assumption clarification or validation, compromise or agreement mediation, and to close information gaps ? Interface with stakeholders to report progress, achievements, significant issues and risks. Relationship Management ? Build relationships and work with colleagues across business functions such as Operations and IT in order to successfully execute renovation projects/ initiatives. Skills Required ? Microsoft Office Suite ? Experience in financial services industry ? Excellent communication and influencing skills ? Strong sense of ownership and accountability ? Keen to learn new skill sets ? Good team player and contribute towards building strong team spirit ? An understanding of technology and its application in an STP processing environment Skills Desired ? 2-4 years experience in trade support or client service, front-to-back STP processing for cash equities ? Project and system development lifecycle knowledge (desired) ? Project management and Business analysis experience (desired) ? Good team player and contribute towards building strong team spirit. ?
