DPG is an Operations-based business analysis and project/program management team who partner with Operations, IT, Finance and the Business Units to: ? specify and deliver the technology and processes necessary to support the derivatives business; ? define the future vision for Operations (processes, organizational models etc.) There are a number of teams serving specific business units (such as the Equity Division) or cross asset-class functions (such as Collateral Management). This role is for the Credit Derivatives team supporting Operations (Middle Office / Trade Support, Settlement and Confirmations) for the Interst Rate, Credit & Currency (IRCC) Division. Increasingly, the scope of the teams work is broader and covers the full trade lifecycle: Sales, Trading, Operations and Finance (Business Unit Control, Regulatory Control etc.) The Credit Derivatives team operates globally and is responsible for delivering solutions to business issues relating to credit derivatives. Duties and Responsibilities The individual responsibilities include: Knowledge of credit derivative product and process ability to recognize deficiencies or improvement opportunities and recommend best practices based on prior experiences. Support the IRCC lead on projects, to refine the future state vision for derivative processing, prioritise their renovation investment and translate business objectives & requirements into a program of renovation initiatives. Develop relationships with the US stakeholders for the programs, understanding the priorities of these stakeholders and ensuring that global programs meet the needs of the business. Providing status updates on the progress of the programmes to stakeholders. Ensuring that the business case for renovation work is transparent, understood and committed to by all key stakeholders in all regions across Operations, IT, Finance and the Equity Business Units (where appropriate); Ensuring that thorough business analysis is performed and accurate & detailed business requirements are developed with the support of the appropriate Operations resources. Developing strong relationships with IT colleagues to design, develop and implement technology platforms to deliver solutions to these business requirements. Developing comprehensive and robust test cases/plans and co-ordinating the execution of these tests to ensure successful delivery of these technology platforms. Working with other DPG teams to develop best practice methodologies and approaches for business analysis, for delivery of technology, and process solutions to business problems. Skills Required A successful candidate will have operational process and workflow expertise by having worked in a Credit Derivatives line function as part of their prior industry experience (preferably Trade Support with 8-10 yrs exp); A successful candidate will have strong Credit Derivative product knowledge. Product knowledge should encapsulate a complete understanding of the Credit Deritative booking process inclusive of products such as Index, Single Name and Tranche. Detailed knowledge of how the booking of these instruments impacts downstream functions such as confirms, settlements and client indications is also important A successful candidate will have operational process and workflow expertise. The ideal candidate should have some project experience The role is multi-faceted, requiring the candidate to be both a strategic thinker helping create a vision for the future of derivatives processing, as well as a project manager/ business analyst capable of managing & delivering initiatives in the short to long term to meet operational goals and to support business unit revenue & growth targets. Responsibilities include helping to set the technology agenda, being able to articulate a business case for change, and striking a balance between short-term tactical enhancements and developing the strategic platforms. The candidate will be required to manage the expectations of the senior stakeholders as well as understand the complex technological and organizational interdependencies that exist within programs of this size. The successful candidate will be capable of performing detailed business analysis (either on their own of through a team) in order to understand and resolve current issues and develop/define the future state vision. This will require the individual to influence at senior levels, while also being skilled at extracting requirements from subject matter experts in Operations, Finance, Trading, Sales and Risk Management. The successful candidate will also be comfortable working with ambiguity, managing & resolving complex issues and have a history of being able to articulate a clear message for which support is garnered.
